Added Bronson History: Dick Foley who was on the Bronson at the time
stated that on the second trip to the Pacific Theatre of Operations during WWII
Cmdr. James A. Marks became the Capt. of the Bronson. Apparently, he wa
not well like by the crew as soon as he came aboard. He was Capt. of the
USS Hull DD350, a Farragut-Class Destroyer, which was one of the three
destroyers that capsized during a typhoon in Dec. 1944. Dick recommends
we read "Down to the Sea" by Bruce Henderson, The book tells what
Capt. Marks was really like.
